This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for INFORMATION & MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.  This IS NOT a request for proposals, quotations, or bids.  Responses to this request will not be returned.  Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future and potential solicitation.  It is the intent of the USACE Philadelphia to use this information for market research purposes only.  The survey is being conducted to determine the interest of industry within NAICS code 324121 and to establish that there are adequate large and/or small business contractors for providing the marine work described below.  The Government WILL NOT pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of any such information.

Principal Characteristics of the Scope of Work:

Replace the US Army Corps of Engineers Fort Mifflin Project Office parking lot and main road in kind. The total amount of paved surface to be replaced covers approximately 111,879 square feet.  The pavement to be replaced includes all the southside parking lot and main road from building 1 to the guard shack at the entrance of Fort Mifflin Project Office. The Existing pavement should be milled 1.5 inches, fix/replace all sub-base and base as needed, raise 7 manholes, fix/repair/seal all cracks, spray tack coat at a rate of .05-.15 before paving, pave a 2- inch lift with a wear course to existing elevation, remove/replace parking blocks, and repaint all markings in accordance with state and or federal regulations. Special attention shall be given to proper rolling techniques and proper drainage of parking lot and main road.
