New PG&E Contract Opportunity Announcement for Non- Wood Street Light Inspections

 

Dear Supply Chain Responsibility Consultants and Community Based Partners:

 

PG&E is pleased to announce an new Request for Proposal (RFP). Please only share this posting with suppliers meeting the minimum requirements. Suppliers interested in this opportunity must reply the PG&E Representative listed below by no later than 02/15/2018, 5:00 PM Pacific Time with the information requested in the RFP.

 

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to inspect and evaluate the potential replacement of approximately 12,000 non-wood streetlight poles owned and maintained by PG&E. The estimated contract value is $940,000.

 

Background: PG&E previously ran a pilot project in Walnut Creek, and based on the findings of that pilot, plans to expand this inspection program to a wider sector of our system.  The inspection program will focus on non-wood street lights installed before 1975 when galvanizing materials became the standard specification.

 

Vendors interested in participating in the RFP to provide inspection, evaluation, and/or replacement services must meet the following minimum qualifications:

 

  1. US based service location
  2. NACE Certified
  3. NDE Capabilities
  4. ESRI Data Capabilities – Results on maps
  5. Available to execute, complete, and report inspection and evaluation services within 3 months of contract execution.
  6. Capable of providing turnkey services including management and procurement of all permits and traffic control services
  7. Capable of  taking  and uploading photos for visual results
  8. Capable of using PG&E’s evaluation criteria  to evaluate and report on streetlights
  9. Capable of providing minor maintenance, to include but not limited to,  affixing missing or deteriorated badge numbers, installing missing or damaged hand hold covers, etc.
  10. IBEW signatory
  11. QEW certified
  12. Good Standing in ISNetworld
  13. Ability to comply with OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements
  14. Ability to work anywhere in PG&E’s service territory
  15. Minimum 5 Years’  Experience Inspecting and/or replacing non-wood streetlight
  16. Provide Sample Deliverables (Reports, Data, etc.) produced within the last 2 years
  17. Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing large projects similar in scope (this will require release of client names and project scopes)
