THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. The responses to this request for information will be utilized to determine the feasibility of the Government soliciting contracts with industry that meet the need for a test stand capable of testing both left-hand and right-hand V-22 PropRotor Gearbox Input Quill Assemblies. This includes all mechanical, electrical, software, and control systems as well as ancillary subsystems required to test either PropRotor (PRGB for the V-22 Aircraft) Input Quill. This will be a turnkey delivery including all parts and labor required for machine functionality including installation, commissioning, performance testing, and calibration to enable the government to produce aircraft components upon Government acceptance. This test stand will be located in Building 4497, Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC East or FRCE), MCAS Cherry Point, NC. 

The attachments to this notice include, the current existing building layout, current power available, and current building space. At this time the Government is requesting feedback on the following:

  • Is the vendor able to develop this requirement using the existing layout, power, and building space? If not, what additional changes would the vendor need to complete this requirement?
  • Any recommendations to modify the Statement of Work?
  • Capability statements with particular interest on commercial products that could provide similar capabilities described in the Statement of Work? 

At this time the Government anticipates an award within the next four (4) to six (6) months with delivery and installation of the test stand within nine (9) months after date of award.
