Request for Information (RFI):  Individual Water Treatment Device

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Please Respond by October 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm EST.

Product Manager for Solider Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM SCIE), Durable Goods Team, has identified a need for producers that have the capability to produce an in-line Individual Water Treatment Device (IWTD) which has passed the Governments P248 testing protocol for water purification. The IWTD shall be compatible with the current Army Bladder, Hydration System (HYDROMAX). 

The Government is conducting this market research to acquire information on the types and sizes of businesses that will be able to compete on future contracting actions, potential costs, as well as delivery capabilities.

Interested firms are requested to submit relevant information on their company within fourteen (14) days following the publication of this RFI. Any relevant company background/experience, business category, costs, P248 test results and any other information that the company believes demonstrates their value / ability to meet the aforementioned requirements should be included.

It is recommended respondents be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and provide a CAGE/DUNS number.  All information and evaluation results will be controlled and used for governmental purposes only.
