Purpose: The Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Office of Program Manager Towed Artillery Systems (PM-TAS) to seek out U.S. manufactured steel tube preforms for the U.S. Government manufactured 155mm extended range prototype gun in support of the Next Generation Cannon Program.
Description: This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes, as a means for the Government to conduct market research, identifying interested parties and their capability to manufacture the steel tube preforms for the USG manufactured 155mm extended range prototype gun per U.S. Government Drawing 1NUW7-BL-53273. The steel tube preform has an approximate 16 inch outer diameter, 6.5 inch inner diameter, and 192 inch length.
This procurement will have an estimated quantity of twenty-four (24) each.
All interested vendors are requested to provide:
- A summary of your firm’s capability and experience in supplying 155mm steel tube preforms.
- Unit Pricing, delivery schedule, and place of manufacture of the 155mm steel tube preforms.
- Maximum monthly production capability and the production lead time to begin deliveries of the 155mm steel tube preforms.
The Technical Data Package (TDP) for the steel tube preform is marked Distribution D -distribution authorized only to the Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. DoD contractors. For purposes of this RFI, the TDP may be provided upon request following receipt and approval of these signed and completed documents: (1) DD Form 2345 – Military Critical Technical Data Agreement; (2) AMSTA-AR Form 1350 – Technical Data Request Questionnaire; and (3) a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration videos and/or other technical data, as well as identification of current customers. This Market Survey is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY and should NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the United States Government. The Government recognizes that proprietary and/or classified data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted/proprietary and classified data and present them as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary and unclassified information. As a result of this Request for Information (RFI), a Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued. Participation in this Request for Information (RFI) is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor’s response are to be borne by the participating vendor.
