INTRODUCTION

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to procure F/A-18E/F Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Pod Block II weapon replaceable assemblies (WRAs), specifically the Fuel Tank Assembly (FTA) and Sensor Assembly Structure (SAS), and performance of final system integration. Final integration shall ensure all IRST Block II WRAs function correctly when integrated to form a complete system. In the case a given WRA does not function properly at the system level, potential offerors must be capable of troubleshooting and adjudicating such issues. Potential offerors may be required to design, build, or aquire special test equipment (STE) to aid in the production of IRST Block II WRAs.

THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible small and or other than small business firms capable of providing the supplies/services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought.  Any contract actions that the Government may intend to procure in the future will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE) as applicable in accordance with FAR 5.201(b).  

ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The anticipated period of performance is for five years starting in FY 2022.
