THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following: Kreon Ace 7-20 + Solano Blue Brand Name or Equal per FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal to Kreon Technologies.

Kreon Ace 7-20 + Solano Blue

Coordinate Measurement Arm Requirements
The arm must have the following measurement capabilities:
seven-degrees of freedom in actuation
6 degrees of freedom for localizing the probe tip
A 7th degree of freedom for probe rotation
better than 0.03 mm volumetric point repeatability
minimum arm reach of 1.0 meters to articulate around the biplanar fluoroscopy capture volume
The system must allow for remote control computer connection for single user operation and to minimize cables and laboratory tripping hazards
The system must offer a software development kit for writing custom laboratory computer code to interface with existing CLiMB equipment
The arm must be compatible with CLiMB s current Kreon laser scanning head (Kreon Skiron) equipment to be used for concurrent probing and laser scanning
The system must include software for calibrating the arm and acquiring measurement data

Laser Scan Head Requirements
The system must be fully compatible with the Kreon ACES arm system
Must include software for calibrating the scan head and acquiring measurement data
Must generate scans accurate to 0.05 mm or better
Must be able to scan reflective surfaces like wet biological specimens or polished metal

This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements written notification to the Contracting Officer.
Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted.
