The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that can provide the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC) with Automated Clinical Microbiology Sample Setup and Processing.

Contractor shall provide automated plating, streaking, Gram stain slide preparation, broth inoculation, incubation, specimen imaging, specimen identification, and antibiotic-disk application. The equipment shall be used to aid in the rapid, direct identification of organisms of a variety of sample types to include at the minimum: urine, stool, swabbed specimens, body fluids, and tissue samples. The space available for the automated system is 14.5 feet by 9 feet (14.5 x9 ). Automation must be compatible and interfaceable with VistA, Cerner, and Data Innovations with the approval to access patient demographics to ensure VA standardized labeling of secondary testing containers and slides. Startup package and training must be available. Equipment and supplies shall be shipped/delivered to the RMRVAMC located at 1700 North Wheeling Street, Aurora CO, 80045.
